Wesley Leroy Hamm, age 70 of Burke, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Mr. Hamm grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, but was born August 25, 1944 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the late Wesley W. (WWII casualty) and Velma G. Hamm. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Hamm, and a sister, Joyce Riggs.

Wesley Leroy Hamm, age 70 of Burke, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Mr. Hamm grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, but was born August 25, 1944 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to the late Wesley W. (WWII casualty) and Velma G. Hamm. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Hamm, and a sister, Joyce Riggs.
Mr. Hamm earned a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Sul Ross State. As an Air Defense Artillery Officer he had numerous state-side assignments, including the Pentagon, as well as tours in Japan, Viet Nam and Germany, and retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. He later served in leadership and consulting capacities within the information technology industry; and spent many years in support of operations with MITRE (FFRDC). He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Linda Driver Hamm, two children--son, Wesley Scott (wife Denise) Hamm and daughter, Kimberly Ann Brunson, and six grandchildren.

The Hamm family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151.
